Mpumalanga province
Secunda, modern company town (built after 1974), Mpumalanga province, South Africa. It is located about 80 miles (130 km) east of Johannesburg in a region of extensive coal reserves and adequate water supplies, at the site of South Africa’s second and third oil-from-coal extraction plants.
