No. It really is illegal here and the police can take your electric skateboard away from you. Hoverboards, and other small electric devices are to be used on the sidewalk but only if it does not endanger pedestrians. Note that electric scooters are definitely considered bikes and thus are not allowed to go there.
How long does an electric skateboard last?
If the board and battery are maintained properly then a Li-Ion Battery (Standard Battery) will last for 300-1000 charge cycles before reaching 80% of it’s capacity (the international standard to rating cycle life). That means if you use your electric skateboard daily the battery will last for about 1-3 years.
Can you ride an electric skateboard like a normal skateboard?
It depends! An electric skateboard’s drive system set up determines how well it can be ridden like an unpowered skateboard. A belt-driven board’s drag is substantial and certainly isn’t easy to push about. Whereas, hub-driven boards have little to no drag and can be ridden relatively normal.

If you are the eBoard owner and want to make any kind of change to your eBoard, you need to enter admin mode. To do this, look for a link in the upper right hand corner of your screen that says “admin mode” or “post/edit mode”. Click this link and enter your admin password (see What do I do if I forget my password?).

If you are an individual eBoard customer, you can view your board by typing the address http://BOARDNAME.eboard.com/ or http://www.BOARDNAME.eboard.com/ into your web browser. You can also create links to these addresses.
Can you send a link to your eBoard?
Yes! You can send people a link to your eBoard by email, or by posting it on your web page. If your school or district has a web page, we strongly recommend adding links to all of your eBoards, so that teachers, administrators, parents, and students can find them easily.
